AUFC Draft Constitution

The new Incorporated Societies Act 2022 came into effect 5 October 2023. All existing societies need to reregister under the Act before April 2026 (or will cease to exist). Under the new Act we need to have a Constitution that is compliant with the new Act. This includes, but is not limited to, having:

• dispute resolution procedures

• a governing body (committee)

• duties of officers more explicitly defined

• having a contact person

• nominating a not-for-profit organisation for the distribution of surplus assets if winding up. 

An updated Constitution has been drafted for Auckland United Football Club Incorporated, which has been reviewed by the committee that we recommend adopting at the upcoming Annual General Meeting Tuesday 24th June 2025.

We are also seeking nominations for the positions of President, Secretary and Treasurer. If you are interested in any of these positions please supply information in support of your nomination, not exceeding one side of an A4 sheet of paper to secretary@aucklandunitedfc.org.nz by Wednesday 11 June.
