Make it stand out
Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Auckland United are on the brink of history this weekend, becoming the first club in New Zealand football to have both Premier teams reach their respective National Cup Finals in the same year.
It’s an incredible milestone for everyone involved with the club and one we’ll look back on for years to come.
Men’s First-Ever Chatham Cup Final
For our Premier Men, Sunday marks their first-ever appearance in a Chatham Cup Final. A 3–0 win over Nelson Suburbs FC in the Semi-Final at Keith Hay Park secured their place in the big dance.
Standing in their way are Wellington Olympic, the reigning champions and a formidable opponent. The two sides have met twice in recent National League seasons (2022 & 2023), both ending in 1–3 defeats for United. This time, however, United are determined to flip the script and chase our first-ever trophy.

Women Out to Defend Their Title
Our Premier Women head into the weekend as reigning Kate Sheppard Cup champions, looking to defend their title and go back-to-back.
Their opponents are the Wellington Phoenix Reserves, who are making their debut in the Cup Final. United hold the upper hand in recent clashes, with three wins from three encounters — including last year’s dramatic Kate Sheppard Cup Semi-Final. But as any final proves, form counts for little when the trophy is on the line.

A Weekend for the History Books
From the men making their first appearance in the Chatham Cup Final, to the women seeking to defend their title, this weekend represents a defining chapter in Auckland United’s story.
To mark the occasion, Jeremy Ruane (Football Historian and Writer) and Alana Rennell (Social Media Manager) have prepared a special Matchday Programme for supporters, celebrating this milestone and providing insight into the journey so far.
A massive weekend of football awaits at North Harbour Stadium. This is more than just two finals — it’s a historic moment for Auckland United, and for New Zealand football.
Be there to witness history in the making.
LET’S GO UNITED!!
