OFC Champions & World Stage Debut

Our Premier Women once again proved themselves as Oceania’s best by defending their title in the OFC Women's Champions League, earning qualification for the inaugural FIFA Women's Champions Cup.

In Round 1, Auckland United faced Wuhan Jiangda, a fully professional side, while Auckland United competed as an amateur team. The match was a statement performance, with the team pushing one of Asia’s elite outfits all the way before conceding a late 88th-minute goal in a narrow 1–0 defeat.

Goalkeeper Hannah Mitchell delivered one of the performances of the match, producing a series of outstanding saves to keep Auckland United in the contest and underline the quality and courage of the squad on the world stage.

National Women’s League Three-Peat Champions

Capping off the season, Auckland United FC secured a historic third consecutive National Women's League title, completing the three-peat in front of a home crowd at Keith Hay Park.

The final saw Auckland United defeat Eastern Suburbs AFC 1–0, with the decisive moment coming from Zoe Benson, who fired a stunning volley into the back of the net after a perfectly delivered cross from Talisha Green.

Narrow Miss in the NRFL Championship

The only disappointment of the year came in the Lotto NRFL Women's Championship, where Auckland United narrowly missed out on the title after a
2–1 loss to Fencibles United. The result played a decisive role in helping West Coast Rangers secure the championship. Despite the setback, the side remained competitive throughout the season, balancing league commitments alongside a demanding cup and international schedule.

Looking Ahead to 2026

With another remarkable year completed, our Premier Women will now turn their focus to 2026, where they are set to compete in the OFC Women’s Champions League for the third year running, with the tournament scheduled to take place in the Solomon Islands in late June / early July.

From domestic dominance to continental success and a historic appearance on the global stage, the 2025 season stands as a defining chapter in Auckland United FC history — and the future remains just as exciting.
