27 April

Kia ora in-house grades, we are now getting close to the start of the season, looking forward to seeing some of you down for the coaches briefing and gear bags later today at the clubhouse!

We also have an update on pitch availability, which was confirmed only this past week, due to council maintenance requirements we won’t have full access to all pitches on the north side (outside the clubrooms) for the first week of play this coming weekend. That means that for week one, this coming weekend, there will be a different set of pitches and times for grades to play, compared to the rest of the season.

We understand this is not the best way to start the season but the council maintenance requirements are beyond our control, we can only work with the pitches that we are allocated. We will cover this in the briefing later today, but I also wanted to give everyone a heads up that, for this coming weekend, some of the playing times will be different, and I have put details of this in this email.

Also, the pitches we have available for week 1 are just #2 and part of #5, so some pitch layouts may be different to normal.

Note: this will only affect grades playing on the north side; south-side pitches (10th to 12th grade mixed) are unaffected by these requirements.

From week two onwards, we will resume with our normal grade times that are detailed on the in-house fixtures page on our website: https://www.aucklandunitedfc.org.nz/inhouse-fixtures

The draw will be provided on this page, generally each Wednesday for the coming weekend of play. There will also be pitch maps for week 1, and the rest of the playing season.

We encourage you to familiarise yourselves with the pitch maps, ahead of the start of the season.

Even if the first week isn’t at 100% the level of organisation you’re expecting, the main thing is that every team will still get on a pitch and have some fun! (Weather permitting 🤞🤞)

A reminder also to check for your team information, and to join the team Whatsapp group as soon as you can, so you’re across team communications in the lead up to the start of the season! Let your grade coordinator know if you need any further information.

Thanks and we’ll see you on the pitch soon!
