18 June - photos

Kia ora koutou junior families and players,

Hope you are all enjoying the season so far! As we head into another action-packed weekend of football, we have a few important updates, reminders, and resources to share with our community.

Please take a quick moment to read through the details below.

Team Photos This Coming Weekend!

Photos will be taken this Friday and Saturday at the clubrooms.

  • Schedule & Details: Some game times may need to move slightly to fit everyone in, so please check the detailed photo schedule and pitch info here: AUFC In-House Photos 2026 and the weekly draw info for week 7 here: https://www.aucklandunitedfc.org.nz/inhouse-fixtures

  • Process: Please arrive on time as a team, and in uniform. Detailed information on where to go and how to order photos are on the web page. Additionally this year we are also offering individual photos as an add-on option, again check out the web page for more details and to order.

Keeping Our Sidelines Positive

As a club, we are incredibly proud of creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment for our junior players to grow their skills and love for the game.

  • We strongly encourage all parents and supporters to read this excellent Open Letter to Those on the Sidelines via Friends of Football NZ. It’s a great reminder of why we’re all out there—to help our kids enjoy their football.

  • Please also familiarise yourself with the sideline behaviour guidelines on the NRF website through their programme, Love Their Game.

  • A quick reminder: Our parent volunteers give up their free time to coach, manage, and referee. AUFC will not tolerate negative behaviour from the sidelines. Let's keep the encouragement 100% positive!

CoachMate App for Coaches & Game Day Leaders

A reminder for all of our awesome team coaches and game day leaders: New Zealand Football is actively using CoachMate. It is a fantastic, free tool packed with grade-appropriate activities, drills, and warm-ups perfect for your team sessions. You can download it and set up your team here: Download CoachMate.

Set-up/Pack-down of Goals & Flags (South Side Pitches)

We rely heavily on our community to keep game days running smoothly. If your team is playing in the final timeslot of the day on your pitch, you are responsible for packing away the goals and corner flags. This is especially critical for teams playing on the south side pitches (10th–12th grade mixed).

Thank you all for your ongoing support, patience, and effort in making this a fantastic experience for our young players.

Best of luck to everyone hitting the pitch this weekend!

Ngā mihi nui,

The AUFC Junior Grade Coordinator Team
