Junior Football Information

Auckland United has one of the largest junior football programs in New Zealand.

Junior Football at Auckland United provides a pathway from just starting out, all the way to readiness for full-field play. You can choose to play in our extensive in-house competition, or play in a community/travelling team, against other clubs in the Auckland region.

Our in-house program has mixed (boys & girls) grades from 5th-12th grade, as well as girls-only grades, from 4th up to 10th grade.

Key dates for the 2026 season are detailed below.

Your grade in Junior football is based on what age you turn during the year.
(eg 2014 born = turning 12 in 2026 = 12th grade.)

In 2026, Auckland United junior programme will be adopting the NZ Football Whole of Football 2.0 programme. You can find out more information about the changes to the programme on the NZF WOF 2.0 site. See the Grade Information page or our dedicated WOF 2.0 page for more information and specific details about what this means for your playing grade in 2026.
